Water Conversation
The usage of water is of key strategic value to the Company and surrounding communities. Water usage is constantly under review.
Greater focus on water efficiency and conservation will be a key objective for the Company during the 2008 reporting year, with the following actions planned:
- Undertake assessments of the site-wide water balances across to determine areas for the management of process and potable water;
- Implement water saving initiatives to reduce potable water consumption i.e. waterless urinals;
- Consider recycling water at Company camps; and
- Consider technologies for reducing water consumption at sites.
